Dear friends and colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the First International Scientific Conference “Tourism and Development” organized by Faculty of Sport and Tourism from Novi Sad, Serbia and Faculty of Tourism from Brežice, Slovenia, to be held 6-7th November 2014 in Novi Sad, Serbia.

The Conference theme is tourism as a global phenomenon whose very fast development ranks this industry among the most powerful generators of social progress. Its strong contribution to the economic growth is evident therefore it is not surprising that the number of tourists and employees in tourism industry, as well as the revenues are being significantly increased each year. However, the economic growth has multi-faceted cultural, social and political consequences, thus the importance of thinking through,planning and managing tourism is growing.
